Hawk-i (Healthy and Well Kids in Iowa)

Hawk-i is low-cost or free health insurance for kids from working families.  The hawk-i program provides coverage through Wellmark Health Plan of Iowa Blue Access or UnitedHealthcare Plan of the River Valley Inc., and Delta Dental.

The coverage is available to children who live in Iowa, are under 19 years of age, are US citizens or qualified aliens, meet income limits, are not a dependent of a state employee, and do not qualify for Medicaid.

Hawk-i is very affordable coverage for families, who pay between $0 and $40 a month for care.
