Maternal, Child, and Adolescent Health

What is Maternal, Child, and Adolescent Health

In Maternal Health, we will provide you information about what to expect during your pregnancy, including how to deal with physical and emotional changes and advice to prepare for the arrival of your new baby. We can aid you in organizing your prenatal care by providing vitamins and helping you locate health care providers. Finally, we can provide you with diet, nutrition, and dental assistance, so you have the best chance of a healthy pregnancy.

Through Child and Adolescent Health, MICA coordinates free dental services, including screenings and fluoride varnishes. We have health care professionals on staff who are trained in administering the Ages and Stages Questionnaire (ASQ), a thorough developmental screening. Also, MICA performs blood lead testing and provides education and support for child immunizations. Our staff is knowledgeable about the health and dental care services in your area, including mental health, and we would be happy to help you find the providers that work best for you and your child.
